NAMPA, Idaho – November 27, 2007 – Price Associates has added marketing intern Jackie Travis to its staff for the 2007-2008 school year. Travis worked for the management consulting firm during the 2007 spring semester and was in charge of market research. This year, she will be in charge of a variety of marketing efforts for the company during the course of her internship and will be putting her education to work by getting hands-on experience.
This summer, Travis spent ten weeks working for the US Department of State in Brussels, Belgium. She completed a variety of projects for the US Embassy, including a training program for Belgian nationals employed by the US government; a marketing campaign to inform incoming Foreign Service Officers of the available housing services; and a nomination of the residence of the US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium to the State Department’s registry of culturally significant property. Travis also created a comprehensive website of frequently asked question received by Embassy employees which will be utilized to improve overall customer service within the Tri-Missions community.
Travis is a senior at Northwest Nazarene University and will be graduating in May. She is the returning president of SIFE, a student organization that implements projects to improve quality of life of the surrounding community. The five basic SIFE principles include: entrepreneurship, financial literacy, market economics, ethics, and personal success skills.
